Facilities & Directions

Cranbrook Schools is located on 319 acres of educational and recreational features, and offers athletic resources and facilities beyond the usual independent school campus. There are two entrances for athletic contests: the Lone Pine entrance and the Main Entrance on Woodward Avenue. A third entrance, located on Vaughn Road, can be used for those accessing Lower Fields and Boys Middle School venues from the west. Venues that use the Lone Pine Entrance

GPS directions for the Lone Pine entrance gate: 550 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304

Parking: To enter the parking lot, turn onto Orchard Ridge Road, then immediately turn right into the 550 Lone Pine parking lot through the automatic gate. The gate will lift as you approach.

Keppel Gymnasium

Volleyball: Varsity, JV, Freshmen, Basketball: Varsity, JV, Freshmen
To reach the gymnasium, proceed up the pathway to the left of the Performing Arts Center. Pass through the first door on the left, under the portico. Follow the corridor straight ahead and down the stairs.
Tennis Courts

Tennis: Varsity, JV
To reach the tennis courts, continue through the parking lot toward the exit. Turn right to the parking area. There is limited parking is located next to the tennis courts and further down by the ice arena. Overflow parking is in the 550 Lone Pine lot.
Thompson Oval

Football: Varsity, JV, Lacrosse: Varsity
The Thompson Oval is located just to the east of the main parking lot, between the Performing Arts Center and Lone Pine Road.
Wallace Ice Arena

Ice Hockey: Varsity, JV, Figure Skating: Varsity
To reach the arena, continue through the parking lot toward the exit. Turn right past the tennis courts. There is limited parking is located next to the arena and tennis courts. Overflow parking is in the 550 Lone Pine lot.
Williams Natatorium

Swimming and Diving: Varsity, Middle School
To reach the natatorium, proceed up the pathway to the left of the Performing Arts Center. Pass through the first door on the left, under the portico. Follow the corridor straight ahead, then turn right to reach the pool area.

Venues that use the Main Entrance

GPS directions for the Main Entrance gate: 39221 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304

From the Main Entrance
Parking for Kingswood venues: Enter campus at the main gate, and continue on Tamarack Way. Turn left at the first driveway and park in the main lot.

Parking for Lower Fields, Jack Sanders Baseball Diamond, and Boys Middle School venues: Enter campus at the main gate, and continue on Tamarack Way. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Valley Way. At the 4-way stop sign, turn right for Boys Middle School or left for the Lower Fields and Baseball Diamond.

If approaching from the west for Lower Fields, Jack Sanders Baseball Diamond, or Boys Middle School venues:
Set GPS for: 1000 Vaughan Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304. The Vaughan gate is located at a 4-way stop, between Orchard Ridge Road and 1000 Vaughan.

Parking: Enter campus at the Vaughan gate. At the first stop sign, turn left for Boys Middle School or right for the Lower Fields and Baseball Diamond.

Jack Sanders Baseball Diamond

Baseball: Varsity, JV
The baseball diamond is directly ahead of the parking area. Overflow parking is located in 550 Lone Pine Road lot. To reach the fields from this lot, take the walking path that starts behind Wallace Ice Arena. Go left over the bridge and follow the path until the field is reached.
Kingswood Fields - Duck Field

Field Hockey: Middle School, Girls Lacrosse: Middle School, Lax Jam
Duck Field is one of the Kingswood playing fields and is located to the west of the school building. Parking is available in the main Kingswood parking lot. To reach the fields, walk from the Kingswood parking lot toward the stone house, then along the gravel path. Duck Field is located ahead to the left, next to Kingswood Lake.
Kingswood Fields - McLean Field

Field Hockey: Middle School, Girls Lacrosse: Middle School, Lax Jam
McLean field is one of the Kingswood playing fields and is located behind the Middle School for Girls building. Parking is available in the main Kingswood parking lot. To reach the field, walk from the Kingswood parking lot toward the stone house, then along the gravel path to the metal bridge (on your right). Crossing the bridge brings you to the field.
Kingswood Fields - Softball Diamond

Softball: Varsity, Middle School
The Kingswood Softball Diamond is one of the Kingswood playing fields and is located to the west of the school building. Parking is available in the main Kingswood parking lot. To reach the fields, walk from the Kingswood parking lot toward the stone house, then along the gravel path. The softball diamond is located straight ahead.
Kingswood Lake

Cross Country: Varsity, JV, Middle School
Kingswood Lake is adjacent to the Kingswood playing fields and is located to the west of the school building. Parking is available in the main Kingswood parking lot. To reach the lake, walk from the Kingswood parking lot toward the stone house, then along the gravel path. The lake is ahead to the left.
Lower Playing Fields

Soccer: Varsity, JV, Freshmen, Field Hockey: Varsity, JV, Lacrosse: JV, Lax Jam
Fields are directly ahead of the parking area. Overflow parking is located in 550 Lone Pine Road lot. To reach the fields from this lot, take the walking path that starts behind Wallace Ice Arena. Go left over the bridge and follow the path until the fields are reached.
Middle School for Boys - Gymnasium

Boys Basketball: Middle School
Parking is on the right. The entrance for the gymnasium is straight ahead under the portico.
Middle School for Boys - Playing Fields and Baseball Diamond

Football: Middle School, Boys Soccer: Middle School, Boys Lacrosse: Middle School, Baseball: Middle School, Lax Jam
Parking is on the right. Playing fields are located both to the right and left of the driveway. The baseball diamond is on the left.
Middle School for Girls - Gymnasium

Girls Volleyball: Middle School, Girls Basketball: Middle School
To reach the gymnasium, walk from the Kingswood parking lot, north toward the wood bridge (shown). Cross the bridge, then follow the paved path to the main entrance of the middle school. After entering the building, turn right. The gymnasium is straight ahead.
