Financial Aid Process Overview

   FIRST STEPS

  • We urge all families to complete the financial aid process at the same time as the application for admission.
  • Complete Cranbrook's Inquiry Form by clicking the 'Request Information' button, and indicate you would like to receive financial aid information. We will include a general financial aid information sheet with your packet.
  • When filling out the online application, please indicate your interest in financial aid and our Financial Aid Instructions will be emailed to you (see the 'Applying' tab for details).

   PARENT FINANCIAL INFORMATION

  • The Financial Aid Instructions will direct you to complete an online financial worksheet as well as share your recent taxes and last year's W-2s.
  • Please contact CKFinancialaid@cranbrook.edu with any questions.
  • Both the Admission and Financial Aid Applications are due by January 31 for consideration in the first round of admissions

   FINANCIAL AID DETERMINATION

  • After a family submits their completed financial aid application, Cranbrook receives a report from an outside service and then uses its own policies to determine the most equitable financial aid grant.
  • In determining a financial aid grant, the Financial Aid Committee takes into account not only tuition charges but also considers extenuating circumstances that may affect the family’s contribution.
"We are extremely grateful for the generous aid package we were given that allowed our children to attend Cranbrook. It has truly been the opportunity of a lifetime."
