Ice Hockey Camps

Cranbrook Summer Hockey Camp will take place at Wallace Ice Arena on campus under the direction of Head Coach John LaFontaine. The goal of this camp is to improve each player’s overall skating as well as the development of individual skills and have FUN.

Camp Details

(DOB 2012-2017)

General Information
  • Three hours daily on-ice instruction for four days
  • Dynamic skating with and without pucks
  • Team concepts, timing drills, and small games
  • Emphasis on balance, agility, quickness, power and technique
  • Off-Ice training, nutrition seminar, instructional videos
  • Full protective equipment is required; must bring personal equipment
  • No goalie instruction provided
  • Campers must have one-year of organized hockey experience.
Schedule
  • 8:00 AM: Drop off
  • 8:30 AM: First On Ice Session
  • 10:00 AM: Off-Ice Session
  • 11:30 AM: Lunch
  • 12:00 PM: Second On Ice Session
  • 1:30 PM: Pick up
Required Equipment to Bring
  1. Full protective ice hockey equipment
  2. T-shirt
  3. Gym shorts
  4. Tennis shoes
  5. Athletic socks
  6. Water bottle
Groups
Players are divided into groups. Each group will be assigned a counselor who will stay with the respective group all day.

Lunch
Campers must bring a lunch in a lunch box or clearly marked bag. A few snacks are recommended (power bars). Concessions are not available. Vending machines available for drinks and snacks.

COVID-19
At a minimum, Cranbrook’s COVID-related protocols will comply with applicable State of Michigan mandates and align with Oakland Country Health Division and the American Camp Association.

    • $475 per session
  • Fees
    • Cancellation Fee: $50 per week if a cancellation request is received in writing prior to 21 days of session start date. No refund within 21 days.
    • Rush Enrollment Fee: $10 per session within 21 days of session start date
    • Late Payment Fee: 10% of balance 21 days prior to session start date
