Cranbrook Schools Summer Camps are located on the Cranbrook campus in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Detailed maps, including drop-off and pick-up locations, will be provided with the Parent Welcome Packet, which is emailed to registered families in early June. Browse the 3D Campus Map here.
Camps run from 9 AM to 3 PM, with the exception of Cranbrook Theatre School and Young Authors Day Camp, which run from 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM. Extended Care is available at an additional cost from as early as 7 AM to as late as 6 PM.
Yes, Cranbrook Schools Summer Camps are licensed by the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential and accredited by the American Camp Association and adhere to all required safety and operational standards.
Registrations are completed through Ultracamp. Registration will open on Monday, December 2, at 10 AM. To ensure a smooth registration process, we recommend logging into your account and completing the following forms in the Document Center before registration opens:
Sessions are available in three lengths: Full Sessions (8 weeks), Half Sessions (4 weeks, either weeks 1-4 or weeks 5-8), and Partial Sessions (1 week). Full Sessions and Half Sessions are for a single camp. If you're interested in participating in multiple camps, you can register for one or more Partial Sessions at each camp.
Additional options available during registration include AM Extended Care starting at 7 AM and PM Extended Care until 6 PM. After-Camp Activities, such as chess and coding, are also offered. Transportation Services are available with stops in Birmingham, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, and Troy. If you would like to add or change one or more of these options after registration, please email summer@cranbrook.edu with the option(s) you would like to add or change.
Waitlists are available for Partial Sessions (individual camp weeks) but not for Full or Half-Session registrations. If you are at the top of a waitlist and a spot becomes available, you will receive an automated email notification with a link to complete your registration. You will have 24 hours to register; after that, the spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist and your name will be removed. If you miss the spot, you can re-add yourself to the bottom of the waitlist.
If you are registered for a camp and wish to switch to another camp—either one with availability or one where a spot has become available and you’ve received a waitlist notification email—you can do so without penalty. To request a switch to an available waitlisted spot, forward the waitlist notification email to summer@cranbrook.edu within the 24-hour window. All switch requests must be made at least one week before the start of the session.
Our camps are designed to provide the best experience when attended in full. While we can accommodate late arrivals, early dismissals, and missed days, partial enrollment options are not available.

Prescribed medication: Prescribed medication should be brought to camp in its original container that shows the following information: patient (camper) name, prescribed dosage and instructions, medication name, prescriber, and expiration date. The online Authorization to Administer Medication (Parent) form is required for each medication that is brought to camp.
Self-carry medication (including inhalers & epinephrine auto-injectors): The physical Authorization to Administer Medication (Prescriber) form must be completed, which requires a signature from the parent/guardian and the prescriber. The completed form should be uploaded here or emailed to CampNurse@cranbrook.edu.
While we do our best to accommodate buddy requests made during registration, these requests are just one of several factors considered when creating group lists, and we cannot guarantee they will be fulfilled.
For Cranbrook Schools Summer Camps, tuition includes lunch and two snacks per day if you select "Lunch from Cranbrook" during the registration process. The menu will be available via Nutrislice closer to the camp start date. If you choose "Lunch from Home," please pack a disposable, nut-free lunch and two nut-free snacks each day. Note that home-brought lunches and snacks are not able to be refrigerated. A lunch waiver will be required and added to the registration process if you opt for "Lunch from Home." Allergy meals are available for campers with documented allergies.
Campus tours are available in late May and early June during our office hours, from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. Please note that due to school being in session, we are unable to access the camp spaces inside the buildings until the weekend before camp begins. To schedule a visit, please email summer@cranbrook.edu.
Registered families will receive the Parent Welcome Packet in early June, which includes important information such as camp times, locations, phone numbers, policies, and a list of what to bring. During the camp session, weekly emails will be sent every Friday, containing a Welcome Letter from the Camp Directors, Camp Newsletters, and Group Lists.
