Joining the Horizons-Upward Bound Program

HUB is a year-round intensive academic program that supplements and supports the efforts of the student’s high school.  Subsequent to completing the 8th grade, students join HUB the summer prior to their freshman year of high school.  HUB has two components: a 6-week Summer Residential Component and a 24-Saturday Academic Program. Because of the pandemic, plans are being made for the Summer Component.  However, an on-campus/person-to-person schedule will be implemented.  More information is forthcoming.
Interested students and parents, please open the link and complete and submit the new student/parent application.  In addition, your school counselor and teachers must complete the recommendation forms linked below.  Please know, it is essential and necessary for the HUB Office to have all forms prior to a student being considered.

Contact Ms. Brenda Gatlin (phone: 313.715.4107 or 248.645.3184, email: huboffice@cranbrook.edu).

All forms must be submitted no later than Friday, April 2, 2021. New Student Applicant Day for student consideration is scheduled on Saturday, April 24, 2021.  All applications must be received and vetted prior to the 24th of April.
