Cranes 6th at Red Run GC - Brother Rice Invitational

The Cranes golf team traveled to Red Run golf club in Royal Oak Monday afternoon where they played in the Hanzen Transfer Brother Rice invitational. 24 of the Best Teams traveled from around the state to compete on the 6508 yard Par 72 championship layout. Gusty winds accompanied by firm and fast putting greens created tough scoring conditions for the field. The Cranbrook squad post a 4-man total of 326 which was good for a 6th Place Finish. D1 Catholic Central posted a total of 304 for a 10 stroke victory over runner-up CHSL rival U of D Jesuit. Sophomores Henry Delzer (76) and Andrew Chang (79) led the way for the Cranes finishing 4th and 11th in the 122 player field. Junior David Schmitt (85) and sophomore Jimmy Xu (86) wrapped up the team scoring. Also competing was sophomore Wally Ulmer (93). The Cranes take on Catholic Central Wednesday afternoon at the Royal Oak GC in a CHSL dual match - 4:00 start time.
