Cranes defeat Marlins in CHSL Dual Match
Two of the top teams in Division II teed it up Tuesday afternoon at Forest Lake CC as The Lady Crane golfers
hosted the Mercy Marlins. The 2521 yard par 34 provided a challenging layout on an afternoon which included gusty winds and an occasional rain shower. The Cranes soared to a 6-stroke victory 175-181. The depth of the Cranbrook Squad was the key to the victory. Senior Mackenzie Behnke led the team with a score of 41. Sophomore Harriet Cortez was next best with a 44. Junior Sophia Kouza and Sophomore sister Ava wrapped up the team scoring with a pair of 45’s. Senior Sienna Ilitch (46) and Sophomore Sydney Behnke (47) finished
just outside of the team scoring.
The team is back in action on Thursday when they will travel to Cracklewood GC to face CHSL rival Lutheran North.
