CK takes a win at Greenhills

On an afternoon that started sunny but got blustery very quickly, CK JV girls tennis players stuck it out for the win against Greenhills.

Greenhills had fewer players  so offered teams 1 through 5 and forfeited 6, 7 and 8. Their 1-5 agreed to play again so 20 of our 21 players (minus Lillian who was not able to play) could get match experience.

Regarding teams 1-5, CK dropped just No. 2 (Angela and Mollie, who played a fierce match, probably the best match of our season so far) in a tie break at 9-9 (5-7).

4. Ari/Meredith won 8-5 
5. Ella/Karenna won 8-2 
6. CK wins by forfeit 
7. CK wins by forfeit
8. CK wins by forfeit

In exhibition matches:
Rachel/Elizabeth W  won 8-4 
Alice/Claire lost in one of the evenings longest matches (deuces!) 4-8 
Rose/Michelle dropped their match 2-8
Elizabeth LL and Sophie dropped their match 4-6 
And Maryam and Sophia lost in a tie break 1-7 (played at 2-2 as time ran out).
