Cranes Take MHSAA Regional Champion Title

The Cranes Golfers traveled to Farmington Hills Tuesday morning where they teed in up in the MHSAA Regional Tournament. 9 teams looking to punch their ticket to the 2024 State Chamionship at Grand Valley State University’s Meadows Golf Course battled it out over the Par 72 - 5291 yard layout. The Cranes built a 9 stroke lead and held on (343-346) for a 3 -stroke victory over 2nd place Mercy. Port Huron Northern (366) earned the 3rd and final spot for States. Cranes Junior Sydney was the tournament Medalist with a score of 77 - 4 strokes better than the field. Freshman Sixtine Charnelet (86), Junior Alina Yuan (88) and Junior Harriet Cortez (92) wrapped up the team scoring. Senior Sophia Kouza (94) also competed. The Team will have a week of practice before heading to the State Tournament seeking to add another title to their 2021 State Championship.
