Cranes Golfers 2nd at CHSL Championship

The Cranes traveled to the Detroit Golf Club Tuesday October 1st where they competed in the Girl’s CHSL Golf Championship. 6 teams from the Bishop Division teed it up on the Par 69 - 4778 yard South Course. Toledo St Ursula (302) edged out the Cranes (305) for the top spot. Mercy (317) finished 3rd - 15 strokes off the pace. Cranes Junior Sydney Behnke led all players earning tournament Medalist Honors with a 1-under par score of 68. Freshman Sixtine Charnelet (72) finished 3rd Individually. Junior Alina Yuan (78) finished 9th individually and hit the shot of the day - A perfectly struck 8 iron on the 131 yard 12 hole found the bottom of the cup for a “Hole in One”!! All three of these players earned All - Catholic Honors for their Top -10 finishes. Sophomore Josie VandenHaute (87) and Senior Chiara Martella (87) shared 4th spot for the team.
