Cranes finish 3rd in Season Opening Tournament

The Cranes traveled to the campus of Oakland University for their season opening tournament Monday afternoon. 15 Teams gathered to play the Katke Cousins golf course and a cool and windy afternoon. The Team put together a solid performance and earned a 3rd Place finish. Freshman Sixtine Charnelet led the team in her first HighSchool tournament with a score of 84 which was good for a 6th Place individual finish in the 73 player field. Junior Sydney Behnke was 2-shots back at 86 good for 10th Place individually. Junior Harriet Cortez finished with a score of 89 and 18th Place individually. Junior Alina Yuan wrapped the team scoring with a 100 ( 33rd individually). Senior co-captain Chiara Martella (101) did not factor into the team total but managed a 37th place individual finish. The team will be getting lots of practice in the next 10 days as the prepare for their season opening CHSL dual match vs Toledo St. Ursula on August 29th.
