Cranes soar over Maples in Season Opening Match
The Lady Crane Golfers teed it up Wednesday morning in a non - league match verses cross town rival Seaholm High School. The match took place at the tree-lined Par 35 Royal Oak golf course.
The format was a Play 8/ Count 6 giving more players an opportunity to compete than the standard 6/4 format.
The Cranes prevailed with an 18 stroke victory 265 - 283.
Sophomore Sixtine Charnelet led all players with an even par score of 35. Seniors Alina Yuan (41), Ava Kouza (44), Harriet Cortez (48) and Sydney Behnke (49) along with Junior Brianna Giudici (48) wrapped up the 6 player scoring. Also competing but not factoring into the scoring were Junior Giasella Lucas (54) and sophomore Gwen Mooradian (55).
The Cranes will be back in action Thursday morning when they will compete in the Rochester Adams Invitational at Twin Lakes GC in Rochester Hills.
