Shootout with Mercy!

Another phenomenal game, ending with a shootout✨ Attending the Mid-Michigan Alliance Mini Showcase in Bay City, MI, CK took the ice with confidence for the first game at the showcase🏒  In the first period, the girls step up above & beyond playing with their heads & their hearts.  Down one in the first, the girls took to the ice in the 2nd with smart plays and strong passes. At 5:59, Timko tied up the game with a killer shot⚡️  It was a battle for the puck and with our power team on the ice, Timko with assist from defense Lela Lantigua again tied up the game at 1:42!  The shot reflected off the pads of the goalie into the back of the net🏒 The girls left every last bit of energy on the ice in the 3rd. At 10:25, Timko with assist from Sophie Antone took the lead with their ‘sick’ goal🫶🏼 With two penalties called on CK at 1:38, Mercy pulled their goalie for a 6 on 3 try to tie up the game.  With 38 seconds left on the clock, Mercy tied the game on a rebound.  Goalie, Gracey Sui played immaculately, stopping slap shot from the point, quick shots from the slot & wrap around try’s.  

The game went to a shoot out🏒 Out of 7 players, Sui stopped 3 of the four shots.  CK made smart goals with our defensive, Ella Lantigua, Sophie Antone & Phoebe Knoer all scoring however was shy one goal to take the win.  The girls played with all their hearts on this one🧡 Looking forwarding to the Mid-Michigan match up on Saturday @ 1500💪🏼🏒
