On November 2nd members of the Cranbrook Educational Community traveled to Atlanta for a community-wide event at the High Museum of Art. Cranbrook Schools alumni, HUB alumni, Cranbrook Art Academy alumni and CEC friends enjoyed a reception, followed by a private tour of the exhibit Sonya Clark: We Are Each Other. A 1995 Cranbrook Art Academy graduate, Sonya Clark’s exhibit focuses on the artist’s community-centric and participatory projects and is co-organized by the High, the Cranbrook Art Museum in metro Detroit, and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. If you’re in the Atlanta area, be sure to see the exhibit which is open from now until February 18, 2024.
Following the event, Cranbrook Schools alumni spanning from the 1960s to the 2020s gathered across the street for an Afterglow event. The energy and excitement of growing an Atlanta Cranbrook Regional Alumni Network (CRAN) committee was strong and it won’t be long before another Atlanta CRAN event is added to the calendar!
