Innovation, Creativity, and Tradition Shine in the MSB Haunted House
The annual 8th Grade Haunted House at the Cranbrook Middle School for Boys once again showcased the power of hands-on, creative learning. Guided by Miss Chris Hammitt, students selected Gothic-themed short stories and transformed them into immersive spaces, blending literary analysis with imagination and collaboration. Younger students had the chance to look ahead with excitement, experiencing a tradition that reinforces the Cranbrook approach to learning.
A parent recently praised the project for inspiring curiosity, creativity, and community—values at the heart of Cranbrook. In his message to faculty, the Director of Schools echoed this appreciation, highlighting how Halloween at MSB brings together innovation, student-centered learning, and long-standing tradition. He offered special kudos to Miss Hammitt and the 8th grade team for their dedication.
The Haunted House remains a wonderful example of Cranbrook at its finest: students, teachers, and families creating meaningful learning experiences—and lasting memories—together.
