First Match

Cranbrook Kingswood's JV team started the season in a frenzied fashion. With our interim goalie in a boot, freshman Jane Borenstein stepped up and suited up. Although she was overcome by boredom, she delivered the team their first clean sheet! Freshmen superstars included Lily Foltyn and her masterful free hits (even receiving a compliment from our refere, Pat Hayes), Grace Grandelius who attacked everyone and everything everywhere on the field, and Grace Theodore commanding the middle of the field and the offensive line. All of the girls worked hard advancing the ball with their passes, getting out of defensive corners, and taking and defending against free hits. The game ended without any goals for or against either team and a tie of 0-0. Congrats to our captains who led their team with their feedback and encouragement- juniors Alexa Gantz and Anna Stechshulte, sophomore Noa Alterman, and freshman Elliah Lester. Finally, thank you to Kelly Stechshulte and Nicole Lester who worked our score table. We're looking forward to our next contest and the achievements to come!
