Cranes Shine in Regional and State Competitions

BOYS GOLF REGIONALS:
June kicked off with the Boys Golf Div. II Regionals in Chelsea. Junior Devon Deogun shot a 67, and is an individual qualifier for the State Finals to be held June 10-11 in Battle Creek. Click here for results.

GIRLS TENNIS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP:
Girls Tennis State Championships were held over the weekend, and CK placed 3rd in a very tight Div. III competition. Two Cranbrook Kingswood Doubles teams prevailed: the #3 ranked team of Amelia Smith CK '18 / Kate Cao CK '18 defeated #1 ranked Caroline Heule / Olivia DeVos of Grand Rapids Christian, 6-2, 6-4. Cranbrook's #4 ranked team of Ava Harb CK '17 / Frances Dube CK '17 upset the #2 ranked Maya Nassif / Sharmila Prabhu of Detroit Country Day, beating them 1-6, 7-6(5), 7-5. BOYS AND GIRLS LACROSSE REGIONALS:
Both boys and girls lacrosse teams were declared regional champions on Friday evening.

The boys team defeated De La Salle 15-9, with Junior Joey Luciani scoring 5 goals for the Cranes. Click here for the story. The boys will go on to face Forest Hills Central in the State Semi-Final on Wednesday, June 8 at 6 pm at Howell Parker Middle School.

The girls team dominated Detroit Country Day to win their regional contest 21-6. Isabelle Scane CK '18 and Grace Giampetroni CK '16 were the top scorers for the Cranes. The girls will square off against Mercy in the State Semi-Final game, Wednesday, June 8th at 5:30 at Troy Athens High School.
