Spectacular Second Day Comeback Earns Cranes Runner-up Trophy

Cranbrook-Kingswood made a spectacular second-day comeback to erase a 13-shot deficit to Detroit Country Day. After the final scores were tallied up, both schools had a 707, but Country Day was awarded the title on a tie-breaker based on the scores of their No. 5 golfer combination for both days.
Cordelia Chan ( 78 & 79 – 157 ) and Greer Clausen ( 83 & 77- 160) finished first and second individually to highlight the two day-tournament. Gabby Shuert finished strong with a solid 95 on day two, as did Lily Thompson with a 96. Molly Wiener was impressive in her Finals debut, firing a pair of 98’s.
Sydney Shuert, Holly Meers and Alayna Margulis cheered the team on both days, while Reilly Knoer and Aryn Margulis made it over to Grand Rapids for the final few holes and Award Ceremony. Thanks to all the parents for their support, as well as Shane Finney who came to add his support Saturday.
