CK Golfers Earn Trip to MHSAA State Tournament

On a perfect  fall  day, CK competed with 11 other schools, as we hosted our first Regional Girls Golf Tournament at Fieldstone Golf Club Wednesday.    The results were favorable, as  our lady linksters earned a trip to the State Tournament at Grand Valley next week.  They  finished the day in  second place,  just a single shot behind DCD , 348 - 347.   Cordelia Chan was medalist with a fine 78, while Greer Clausen finished third overall with a an 80.  Both girls added two birdies to their  combined season total, which now stands at 43 ( and 53 for the entire team).    Gabby Shuert turned in her best score of the year with a  94, followed by Molly Wiener with a solid 96.  Alayna Margulis was our fifth representative and although her round did not count in the team total, she added a  birdie  to the team's impressive total.   In fact, this was the first time  all season that  all five girls had at least one birdie in their round.  WTG Ladies!
