Firing a season low score of 343 at Willow Metro Park in New Boston, the Cranes braved some demanding weather conditions and brought home their second MHSAA Regional title in three years. The Region featured top ranked and defending D3 State Champion Grosse Ile, as well as nearby rival Country Day. The Cranes were led by Cordelia Chan with a 76 and Greer Clausen with an 80. Chan's round featured four birdies and was the second lowest individual score overall. Clausen had the third lowest individual score, in a round that included two birdies. Perhaps what separated Cranbrook from the rest of the field, was the play of the girls in the three, four and five positions. Despite the challenging conditions, all three ladies beat their season average's, with Sydney Shuert shooting a 92, Lily Thompson a 95 and Chase Wonders a 99. The Cranes will travel to Battle Creek and the Bedford Valley course to compete in the State Championship on October 19 and 20.
