Seniors Caley Chelios and Justin Glanda sign the NCAA National Letter of Intent.


Caley (the daughter of Chris and Tracee Chelios) signed to play lacrosse at Northwestern University. Caley has been a standout athlete in Volleyball (Captain: Honorable Mention All State, All District, All Catholic League on the Regional Finals team), Hockey (Captain: 3 yearr All State member of the State Championship team) and Lacrosse (Captain: 2 year All State on the State Semi-Finalist team). Caley was the 2010 team leading scorer in lacrosse with 66 goals. 


"Northwestern is an amazing prestigious school academically, and I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to play with one of the most talented women's lacrosse programs in the world," Caley says. "I am very excited to be a wildcat, and look forward to four great years at Northwestern University playing lacrosse."

 

Justin (the son of Richard and Kim Glanda) signed to swim at the University of Michigan. Justin has been a sprinter for the Oakland Live Y’ers (OLY) and competing at the national level. He currently holds 5 State records and has made numerous Senior National cuts.


"The University of Michigan provides the ideal combination of athletics and academics. The Men’s Varsity Swim Team finished in the top ten at last season’s NCAA Championships, and the university’s educational programs rank among the best in the nation," says Justin. "In addition, I am very impressed by what the coaching staff has to offer and by the chemistry between the members of the team."


Justin is looking forward to his senior year competing as a Cranbrook Swim Team member.
