Cranes Drop Hard Fought Battle vs. Divine Child

The Cranes welcomed Bradley Forbes back to the field as one of their game captains and then proceded to toe to toe with traditional football power Devine Child.  The first half was a hard fough defensive battle with Divine Child scoring on the last play of the half to take a 6 - 0 lead.  The game opened with kicker Kenny Kohut laying down a perfect on-sides kick which the Cranes recovered at 50 yard line.  The Cranes gained half of the yards to the goal line but their drive fizzled and Divine Child held the ball for the rest of the quarter.  Still the Cranes stiffened with their backs to the wall and intercepted a DC pass.  Starting on their own one yard line, the Cranes were able to move the ball down the field out of trouble before once again giving the ball back to Divine Child.  The hitting in the first half was some of the hardest we have seen this year with Aric Homovic, Carlton Shane, Bryan Bailey, and Brock DuCoin leading the way.  During the second half, the Cranes started to tire as they gave up two long runs to Divine Child leading to the final score of 19 - 0.  The duo of quarterback Brad Fraser and Matt Mogill once again proved productive.  Running back Jonah Adelman showed some fancy moves in the second half and he also caught a pass.  Carl Conyers repeatedly gained tough yards around the outside.  While it went into the books as a loss, the Cranes demonstrated considerable improvement during the game.
