Cranes Take Region 22 Championship

After falling behind University Liggett School 1 - 0 in the 1st period, the Cranes responded with 4 unanswered goals to capture their 14th MHSAA Division III Regional Championship i tne last 17 years.  Senior Alex Loewenstein scored first for Cranbrook to tie the score 1 - 1.  Goals by junior Spencer Tamler, senior Patrick brown and Loewenstein's 2nd goal of the game put  Cranbrook up 4 - 1 at the end of the 2nd period.  Liggett scored quicjkly to stytart the 3rd period but then junior Ryan Doucet scored twice within 40 seconds to make the final 6 - 2 in favor of the good guys.

The Cranes will skate next in the Division III QuarterFinal game Wednesday, March 10th at 7;00 pm at Troy Arena.
