On Tuesday night the Cranbrook Kingswood Boys Basketball team made history with a 69-57 victory over the Clarenceville Trojans in Metro Conference Tournament Championship Final. The Trojans played a tough grind it out game and Cranes responded with patience and dominating defense. Sterling Morrow led the Cranes with 22 pts. and his brother Steven chipped in with 18 pts. Senior Alec Shimpke added 11 pts. The Cranes ended the Metro Conference schedule with a 9-1 record and won the Metro title for the first time since 1987. They also became the first ever Cranbrook Boys Basketball team to win the title outright. Months of hard work paid off for this fine team. Cranbrook hosts former conference foe University Liggett on Friday night as we honor our wonderful senior class. Well done men and congratulations on making history!!
