Homecoming - October 13, 2007

It was a beautiful fall day for Homecoming this year. The day started with the alumni hockey game at Wallace Ice Arena. More than 20 former hockey players skated again, some celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1983 championship. Also, former coaches Ted Kelley, Bob DeMarco and Mickey Price were there. Many of these players and coaches came from out ot state for the game. The Cranbrook Alumni Association gave each player a Hockey Alumni t-shirt. Players included: John Martin '79, Pat Libby '87, Chris Illitch '83, Bruce McColl '84, Wes Workman '83, Todd Manning '83, Kevin Blissett '83, Peter Donaldson '90, Bob Stone '81, Ray Santerini '78, Mike Rotter '83, Geoff Donaldson '87, Jon Doehr '83, Gary Becker '82, Chris Yockey '94, Ron Stern '89, Paul Pijanowski '83, John Gagliardi '75, Griffin Howell '07, and Ben Daiek '07. The pre-game (football) Alumni Family Party included cider and daughnuts and a pinata for the kids. More than 20 children stood in line to take a whack at "CK Man," the pinata dressed in a CK cape. Many alumni, patents, parents of graduate4s and grandparents present for a tailgate and the game bought Cranbrook and Kingswood alumni merchandise.
