Reunion Weekend 2025: A Celebration Across Generations
Reunion Weekend 2025 brought sunny skies and a joyful spirit to campus as alumni from across the decades gathered to reconnect, remember, and celebrate. From the Class of 2020 marking their 5th reunion to the Kingswood Class of 1945 celebrating their 80th at Christ Church Cranbrook, the weekend was filled with meaningful moments and multigenerational pride.
There was wonderful support for our Distinguished Alumni 2025, Dirk Denison ’75 and Shana C. Waterman ’90, who delivered heartfelt messages to the class of 2025 at our commencement services at Christ Church Cranbrook and felt the love from a standing-room-only audience on Saturday morning.
We kicked off the 60th year of our Horizons-Upward Bound program in style at the annual networking event hosted by 4A Alumni that included HUB Alumni. Those celebrations continued through Sunday afternoon when the Cranbrook Center for Collections & Research hosted a film festival of newly digitized footage that included early HUB footage, historical campus scenes, and student made films from across decades.
As always, Reunion Weekend also provided time for gratitude and reflection. Alumni joined in recognizing and thanking beloved faculty and staff who are concluding their time at Cranbrook Schools, including Stacy Rivard, Keith McConnell, Ann Mell, Vickie Abbott, Karen Turlay, Jim Gabriel, Laura Marmorstein, Paulina Shaw, and Michael Auth. Attendees also paused to remember those we’ve lost over the past year, including Sam Salas, David Mogill, Janet Kapala, Francine Rode, Sue Hahn Spencer, and Connie Reebel Jones. Throughout the weekend, alumni took full advantage of the opportunity to reconnect with classmates, visit favorite campus spots, and hear directly from faculty and administrators. We are especially grateful to our milestone reunion classes, who turned out in record numbers to make this weekend one to remember.
