Cranbrook Team Outstanding at Model United Nations Summit
The Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School Model United Nations team traveled to Lansing, Michigan, on Friday, December 6, to compete in the two-day Canadian American Security Councils & Summits (CASC).
The sixteen delegates engaged in debate and discussion with other competitors to create solutions for various topics, ranging from the European Union's discussion of migration and border management to NATO's support of Ukraine and topics for the Organization of American States, the Pacific Island Forum, and the UN Security Council.
The CK “MUNers” left with no less five awards:

Avery Cannan (Japan) - Highest Honors - UN Security Council 8
James Kocis (United States) - Highest Honors - Organization of American States
Elizabeth Leonard (Slovenia) - Second Honors - European Union Silver
Bella Miceli (France) - Highest Honors - UN Security Council 5
Advisors Chris Schotten and Mark Karinen were recognized with the Mark E. Pontoni Best Prepared School Award - Second Honors.
