Cranbrook Debaters Soar in Two Time Zones!
It was a fine weekend for CK Debate!
Upper School students Alex Wang and Ori Shi flew to Salt Lake City to compete in the Alta Silver Black National Debate Tournament. Alex and Ori made it to the finals and finished second place in the tournament. Ori also earned second speaker and Alex eighth speaker.
By finishing 8-3, they earned another coveted "Gold Bid" to the Tournament of Champions at the University of Kentucky in the spring. Well done!
At the same time, thirty-two CK debaters traveled to Dexter, MI for a MIFA (Michigan Interscholastic Debate Association) tournament. The novices dominated the competition once again!

Cranbrook took 3 of the 4 top places in the tournament as well!
- 3rd: Angelina Tang/Wu
- 2nd: Sophie Shvartsman/Vaishnavi Nerusu
- and winning the tournament was: Awad/Toluwani
