School’s student newspaper has been named a Crown Award Finalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CPSA) has selected Cranbrook Kingswood Upper Schools’ long-running student-produced newspaper, The Crane-Clarion, as a Crown Finalist. The publication was selected from more than 800 digital, newspapers, magazines and yearbooks from around the nation that were published during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Crown entries were judged virtually by student and professional media experts.
The paper joins Gallimaufry, Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School’s art and literary magazine, as a recipient of the same recognition this year. As with Gallimaufry, Gold or Silver Crown awards will be presented during a special Awards Convocation during CSPA’s 99th annual Spring Convention, held on the University’s campus in New York City from Wednesday, March 15, through Friday, March 17, 2023.
