Kindness Rocks

Junior Kindergarten students share a positive message across campus.

As an extension to the story Kindness Rocks by Sonica Ellis, Junior Kindergarten (JK) students decorated their own rocks and added positive, inspiring, and kind messages to them. Messages included “You are loved”, “The world is beautiful”, and “Have a nice day.”

The JK classes took their decorated rocks out onto campus and the children placed them in the Cranbrook Quad for others to hopefully find inspiring.

An overarching theme for the grade all year has been kindness, and how our own kindness affects others as well as how it feels internally. The Junior Kindergarten team hopes that the Upper School students, faculty, and staff find the messages to be heartwarming
