Lady Crane Golfers Season Tees Off with a 3rd Place Finish

The Girls Golf Team traveled to Lapeer Country Club where they began their 2022 Season looking to build another strong season after a State Championship in 2021.A field of 12 teams gathered to test the challenging 5051 yard - Par 72 layout.The Cranes posted a team score of 355 to finish 3rd behind tournament Champion Lake Orion (347) and Runner-Up Milford (354).Junior co-captain Mackenzie Behnke led the way for the Cranes and also was Tournament Medalist with a score of 78. Sophomore Sophia Kouza was next for the team with a score of 89. Junior Anya Samsonov fired a score 91. Three Freshman made their high school tournament debut - Ava Kouza (97) Sydney Behnke (98) and Harriet Cortez (108) - gaining valuable experience and securing a strong future for the Girls Golf Program.The team will be back in action tomorrow morning when they tee it up in the Marian High School OmniKinestics Invitational at Fieldstone Golf Course in Auburn Hils.
