John LaFontaine Named MHSCA Hockey Coach of the Year

The Michigan High School Coaches Association (MHSCA), a professional organization of school coaches and athletic directors, has named Cranbrook Schools Hockey Coach John LaFontaine as the 2021 Hockey Coach of the Year.
According to the MHSCA, Coach of the Year selections are based on the performance of the coaches’ program over the years and their contribution to the sport, their school, and their community.

The MHSCA is a 66-year-old association with nearly 35,000 members serving as athletic administrators and coaches in high schools and middle schools throughout the state. The Michigan High School Coaches Association works to promote the educational value of interscholastic athletics and the role of the athletic administrators and coaches.
