David Kalt is the founder and CEO of Reverb.com, an online marketplace for musical instruments that was recently acquired by Etsy. Since launching Reverb.com in 2013, David has been working side-by-side with his growing team to make the online marketplace the best place for musicians to buy and sell new, used, and vintage music gear. As the company’s evangelist and product visionary, David has grown Reverb.com into the most popular music gear website in the world.

David is a frequent writer on business topics in the Wall Street Journal and Forbes.com. Prior to finding success as an entrepreneur, David began his career as a recording engineer/producer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in computer science from DePaul University.
