Toast our Retiring Faculty June 7-8-9

Sending retiring faculty members on their way is one of the bittersweet gifts of reunion. This year, several longtime faculty members will be taking their leave. Performing arts director Sarkis Halajian will retire after 44 years at Cranbrook Schools. Alumni will have a special chance to bid him adieu at "Halajian's Jazz Cafe" at Kingswood Auditorium on Friday night from 7:30-9:30 p.m. There will be light refreshments and a cash bar available. Join fellow computer science and robotics alumni at the Cranbrook Library Reading Room between 4-5 p.m. on Saturday for a special gathering to honor Rich and Betsy Lamb. Rich has taught computer science at the schools since 1977, along with his wife Betsy Lamb who taught at the middle school and has been a pillar of the robotics program over the years. Share stories and memories of your days in the computer lab or in robotics competitions. Sharon Peacock retires this spring after serving as dean of girls since 2003. Celebrate Sharon's career at Cranbrook Schools at the Sunday brunch on the Quad from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For the detailed reunion 2019 schedule, visit the "downloads" section on this page. For information or to reserve a spot at any of these events email alumni@cranbrook.edu.
