JV Girls off to a solid start vs Mercy

Our team demonstrated steady skills in our first match vs. Mercy.

We tied the team, which exhibited great groundstrokes and also solid matchplay.

1. Samantha and Anna fell 3-6, 3-6.
2. Laila and Giselle won a set, lost a set then lost a tiebreak 4-10. 
3. Angela and Mollie showed firm skills with a 7-5, 7-5 win.
4. Riya and Nysa turned up the heat in the second set but ultimately fell 1-6, 3-6.
5. Ella and Meredith won handily, 8-3 (eight-game pro set).
6. Karenna and Arianna pushed Mercy but fell 5-8.
7. Claire and Alice cruised to their 8-5 win.
8. Mercy forfeited.

and Sophe and Lillian topped Minka and Maryam in a scrimmage, 8-1.
