Cranes finish 4th in CHSL Golf Championship

The Team traveled to Detroit Golf Club on Tuesday to compete in the CHSL Championship in a newly expanded format with the addition of St. Ursula and Notre Dame Academy form Toledo. The Cranes came into the 2023 CHSL Golf Championship as 2-time defending champions after winning the title in 2021 and sharing the title with Mercy in 2022. Expectations were high as All five players from 2022 returned for a shot at 3 in a row. The Cranes competed hard and battled to the final shot but it was not to be their day as they posted a team total of 324 on the Par 69 South Course.Senior Mackenzie Behnke led the team with a score of 71 which earned her a 2nd Place Individual finish. Junior Sophia Kouza shot a 79 good for 10th Individually and All Tournament Team honors.Sophomore Sydney Behnke posted a score of 84 and Senior Sienna Ilitch wrapped up the team scoring with a 90. Senior Anya Samsonov also competed (91) but did not factor into the team score.
