Honoring Reunion Giving Leadership: The Cranbrook Reunion Golden Circle

Cranbrook Schools is pleased to announce the creation of the Cranbrook Reunion Golden Circle, a new designation honoring milestone reunion classes whose collective giving reaches or exceeds $500,000 in a reunion year—a level of generosity that reflects exceptional leadership and commitment to the future of the school. The Cranbrook Reunion Golden Circle recognizes classes that achieve this milestone through a combination of participation, peer leadership, and sustained engagement. It is designed to celebrate reunion classes that lead the way in giving back to Cranbrook and inspire others to follow their example.
We are proud to recognize the Classes of 1968 and 1975 as the inaugural members of the Cranbrook Reunion Golden Circle—two classes whose 50th reunion efforts demonstrated generosity at—and beyond—this leadership level in different but equally meaningful ways.

The Class of 1968 set a new standard for milestone reunion giving through a deeply collaborative effort that emphasized both access and campus impact. Their reunion-year giving supported student access through scholarship funding and included significant contributions that continue to shape the campus experience, including leadership support for the Quad restoration and the creation of the Memory Garden adjacent to the Cranbrook Alumni Courtyard. Together, these efforts reflected a class-wide commitment to making a lasting difference and established a powerful model for future reunion classes.

The Class of 1975 created their own legacy by pairing strong reunion participation with an ambitious approach to annual support. Through focused peer leadership and sustained outreach, the class achieved unprecedented results for The Cranbrook Schools Fund, the annual fund that supports every program area in the Schools’ operating budget. Their reunion-year efforts demonstrated the critical role milestone classes can play in strengthening Cranbrook’s year-to-year excellence.

Together, these two classes exemplify the spirit of the Cranbrook Reunion Golden Circle: alumni leadership, shared aspiration, and generosity expressed in ways that reflect both personal passion and institutional need. By recognizing these achievements, Cranbrook Schools celebrates generosity across generations and encourages future reunion classes to aim high in their own milestone years.

As we look ahead, the Cranbrook Reunion Golden Circle is intended not only to honor past achievement, but to inspire future reunion classes to imagine the legacy they might create together. Reunion is a moment to reconnect, reflect, and recommit—to friendships formed here and to the generations of students who follow.

All alumni are warmly invited to return to campus for Reunion Weekend 2026, June 5–6–7, with special celebrations planned for this year’s milestone classes: 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021. We look forward to welcoming you back and to seeing how future classes will shape their own reunion giving stories.
