Feldman, Reuss Lead Way With Arms as CK Takes 2 From OLL
Pitching was the story of the day as Zach Feldman and Grant Reuss limited OLL to one run on the day. CK rallied from a 1 run deficit to take the first game 2 - 1 behind strong pitching of Feldman. CK took the lead early in game 2 and Grant Reuss made the lead stand up as he shut out OLL for the sweep, winning by a score of 1 - 0. The sweep improves CK's record to 9 - 2.

Game 1:
Feldman Strikes Out 13 as CK Defeats OLL 2 - 1
It looked like a repeat of the Shrine games when the Lakers pushed across a run in the top of the 1st and the Crane bats remained quiet. CK had a golden opportunity in the bottom of the 4th with bases loaded and no outs, but a force play at home and a couple of routine defensive plays ended the scoring threat.
CK took the lead in the bottom of the 6th as Alex Roed led off with a single. Grant Reuss reached on a Lakers error and Cam Maxwell hit a perfectly placed sacrifice fly to right field to drive in Roed. Jeremy Loewenstein laid down a perfect bunt that hugged the line and stayed in fair territory, scoring Grant Reuss.
Zach Feldman controlled the mound for the Cranes, pitching a complete game victory while allowing only 3 hits on the day and striking out 13.
Feldman, Roed and Reuss went 1 for 3 on the day to lead the Cranes from the plate.

Zach Feldman struck out 13 batters to lift Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes Varsity to a 2-1 win over W.O.L.L. at Jack Sanders Field in seven innings.
Jeremy Loewenstein helped Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes Varsity take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Grant Reuss reached on an error to get on base in the sixth. He then went from second to third on a sacrifice fly by Cameron Maxwell.
The lone run of the game for W.O.L.L. crossed the plate in the first inning on a passed ball.
The lead was Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes Varsity's to lose after sixth inning. More runs came home on a sacrifice fly by Maxwell.

CK put up the only run of the game in the bottom of the 1st when Zach Feldman lined a lead-off double and was later driven in by a Matt Rosen single. Grant Reuss would make the lead stand up as he pitched a complete game 1 hit shut-out while striking out 14.
The Lakers threatened in the top of the 5th, but Reuss worked out of a bases-loaded jam to end the threat.
Matt Rosen led the team from the plate, going 2 - 3 and driving in the only run of the game.

Reuss' 14 strikeouts helped Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes Varsity to the victory. Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes Varsity's pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.
The first inning saw Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes Varsity score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Matt Rosen.
