Cranbrook Kingswood Crew won two bronze medals at the Hebda Cup Regatta in Wyandotte, MI, on April 24. The women's varsity eight (Rebecca Shapiro '11, Lindsey Stolzenfeld '12, Katie Allan '11, Haley Harper '13, Joy Chan '10, Noa Ervin '12, Betsy McCabe '11, Sophie Park '12, and Tamar Adler '10) finished third in a very competitive race, finishing behind Ann Arbor Huron and Ann Arbor Pioneer. The women's lightweight four (Kathy Xie '11, Emily Liebman '11, Katie Allan '11, Lindsey Stolzenfeld '12, and Tamar Adler '10) also finished third in the finals.
The men's varsity double (Michael Luciani '10 and Christopher Samul '10) finished fifth of seven in their first sculling race, and Cranbrook Kingswood's first ever sculling race.
The women's novice four (Kathy Xie '11, Haley Harper '13, Laura Lee '12, Sophie Park '12, and Malory Rodriguez '13) had a tremendous come-from-behind race in their qualifying heat. They advanced to the final and battled to a close 6th place finish.
The Hebda Cup Regatta featured 13 teams, all from southeastern Michigan. CK Crew's next race is the Wyandotte High Schools Regatta on May 1st.
