Cranes ride rough over Roeper

Roddy
It was a rough ride for the Roeper RoughRiders Saturday as the Cranbrook Kingswood Girl's Varsity Volleyball team took the Detroit Country Day Private School Volleyball tournament.  The Cranes took both games against Roeper (25-18, 25-19) in the tournament final.  Junior Captains Kate Blessing and Paige Simmons earned special honors as tournament player MVPs.
The Cranes played evenly with most other teams in pool play winning both games against Immaculate Conception (25-23, 25-18) splitting with Roeper (25-21, 9-25), splitting with Lutheran Northwest (25-20, 16-25), and splitting with DCD (25-19, 22-25).  Pool play positioned the Cranes as second seed in the tournment with Roeper earning first seed and DCD earning third.

Bracket play brought out the more competitive side of our Cranes.  They turned up the volume and took both games against DCD in the semifinals (25-19, 25-14).  Roeper hung tight in the final match, but the Cranes prevailed.

Tuesday's game is at home.  Come and join us for a game against Clarenceville!
