The 2006 CK Swiming and Diving County Team

Good Luck to the CK Swimming and Diving 2006 County Team. Qualifying for the Meet are Erin Kennedy, Marissa Ash, Allie Moore, Anna Brown, Joanie Burton, Rachel Dekar, Zoe Lukas, Maeve McHugh, Rosemary O’Connor and Brie Sherer. They will be competing at the Oakland County Meet in Lake Orion with diving on Friday, October 6^th and swimming on Saturday, October 7^th.

The Ck Girls Swim Team placed 4^th in the Oakland County Meet moving up from 6^th place last year. Thirty-five teams participated in the meet held on Saturday October 6^th at Lake Orion High School. Mercy took 1^st place, Groves 2^nd and Rochester Adams finished 3^rd.

The 200 Medley Relay (M. McHugh, R. Dekar, E. Kennedy, Z Lukas) took 2^nd place with a time of 1:05.57, breaking the Varsity record. Rachel Dekar took 1^st place in the 100 Breaststroke (1:06.88) and 8^th in the 200 IM (2:16.21). Maeve McHugh placed 2^nd in the 200 Free (1:56.56) and 4th in the 500 Free (5:13.84). Zoe Lukas took two 8^th places in the 50 Free (25.50) and the 100 Backstroke (1:02.35). The 400 Free Relay (Z. Lukas, E. Kennedy, J. Burton and M. McHugh) placed 6^th with a time of (3:46.54). Brie Sherer made a state cut in the 100 Back Stroke (1:04.84). Allie Moore competed in the 50 Free and Anna Brown in the 200 and 500 Free. Great meet CK!!!!

- The CK Swimming & Diving 2006 County Team.
- CK's two All Americans, Marissa Ash and Rachel Dekar broke their own Varsity records at the Groves Meet. Marissa had a final score in diving of 255 and Rachel's 100 Breaststroke was a 1:05.47.
- The amazing CK Medley Relay Team of M. McHugh, R. Dekar, E. Kennedy, Z. Lucas beat the Groves 2005 State Championship Medley Relay Team with a time of 1:52.05.
- At the Groves Meet, state cuts were achieved by Anna Brown in the 200 & 500 Free and also by Joanie Burton in the 50 Free. Way to go!
- Maureen Ryan had a great swim in the 100 Free at the Groves Meet. She broke 1:10 for the first time in her swimming career. She went a 109:79, taking off over 3 seconds. Good job Maureen!
