In November, Cranbrook alumni and guests gathered in New York City for an unforgettable afternoon at the iconic Intrepid Museum, enjoying a behind-the-scenes experience and the opportunity to reconnect with fellow members of the Cranbrook community.
Hosted by alumna Elaine Charnov ’81, Senior Vice President of Exhibitions, Education and Programs at the Intrepid Museum, the event featured an exclusive guided tour aboard the historic aircraft carrier. Attendees explored the museum from a unique perspective, gaining insight into the exhibitions and educational programming that make the Intrepid such a world-class institution.
Before the tour, alumni and friends came together for a networking reception overlooking the Hudson River. Director of Schools Jeff Suzik shared updates from campus and reflected on Cranbrook’s continued momentum and future direction. Eileen Savage, Chief Advancement Officer for the Cranbrook Educational Community, also addressed the group, highlighting the importance of giving back and the meaningful impact alumni support has on students, faculty, and programs across the community.
The gathering welcomed alumni from across generations, many attending with family members, friends, or fellow alumni. After the reception, guests were invited to continue exploring the museum at their leisure, extending the experience well into the afternoon.
Thank you to all who joined us, and especially to Elaine Charnov ’81, for helping make this New York City alumni event such a memorable success. We look forward to connecting with alumni again soon at future events on campus and around the country.
