Kimberly Dowdell ’01 addresses Class of 2025 at Baccalaureate
On May 19th, alumna Kimberly Dowdell ’01 returned to campus to speak at Baccalaureate, the farewell to the senior class. Dr. Suzik introduced Dowdell, a principal at global design firm HOK who just finished her term as the 100th President of the American Institute of Architects in 2024, noting that she was named Distinguished Alumna in 2021. Dowdell acknowledged that it was meaningful to her to be able to address the class of 2025 from the pulpit of Christ Church Cranbrook, the setting of her own graduation in 2001, as the 2021 graduation had been held in the Cranbrook Oval due to COVID protocols.
At the Baccalaureate service, CKAA President Ekta Lobo WIlcox '89 welcomed the class of 2025 as our newest alumni, encouraging them to stay connected with each other and with the school.
