Cranes defeat CHSL foe U of D Jesuit in League Match
The Cranes and the Cubs teed it up Thursday afternoon at the Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak.
The two teams played a closely contested match over the 3200 yd Par 36 front nine on a beautiful day for golf. The Cubs jumped out an early 3-stroke lead as the 1st paring finished. The 2nd pairing saw the Cranes overtake the cubs for a 1-stroke lead. Both teams gathered around the 9th green in anticipation of the final pairing’s scores. When the scores were tallied up the Cranes emerged with a 3-stroke victory 169-172.
Sophomore Brennan Tato (40) led All 12 players. Sophomores Nathan Yan (41), Jimmy Xu (42) and Wally Ulmer (45) wrapped up the team scoring. Sophomore Kethan Lala (48) and Junior Ryan Li (45) also competed but did not factor in the Team Score.
The Cranes are back in action next Monday when they will play at Plum Hollow GC at 12:00 in the Brother Rice Invitational.
