Cranes can’t overcome big Numbers Lose to Mustangs
The Cranes hosted the Mustangs of Lutheran North Friday afternoon in a CHSL dual match.
A perfect afternoon for golf greeted the 2 teams as they teed it up on the 3000 yd - Par 35 Royal Oak Golf Course. The Cranes struggled and made several “others” which they were unable to overcome allowing the visiting Mustangs to secure a 176 - 178 victory.
Freshman Ryan Li playing in his 1st Varsity Match led all players with a score of 42. Junior David Wu battled with his putter and posted a score of 44. Sophomore Finn Ihlanfeldt and Junior Wally Miller shot a pair of 46’s
to wrap up the team scoring. Freshman David Schmitt (47) and Junior Duncan Murdock (54) finished outside the team scoring.
The team will travel to Oakland University Monday morning where they will compete in the Catholic League Champion Tournament on the Katke Golf Course. Tee time is 9:00 am.
