Cranbrook Track Represents well at the Lakeland Invitational

On Saturday the Cranes traveled to Lakeland High School to take on several stron teams from the area. As only 1 of 3 Division 2 teams the Cranes took on several Division 1 programs. The boys took 4th with 56 points while the girls finished 7th with 15 points. The boys team is almost back to full strength after battling some early season injuries. There were several strong performances with Jordan Benson winning the High Jump with a 5'11" jump and Tariq Muhammad taking 1st in the 110 High Hurdles (16.67). Peter Papapolymerou took 3rd in the 1600M (4:46.03) and 5th in the 3200M (10:42.23). Jeremiah Taylor also finished 4th in the 110H Hurdles(17.20). The boys 4x400 team of (Jacob Peruski, Jeremiah Taylor, Zach Buvalic and Peter Papapolymerou) ran a blazing time of 3:40.43 to take 3rd place behind West Bloomfield and Carmen Ainsworth. The boys 4x200 (Jordan Benson, Kobi Russell, Jacob Peruski and Zach Buvalic) had a 4th place finish with a time of 1:35 and the 4x100 team of Torrell Williams, Kobi Russell, Jacob Peruski and Zach Buvalic took 5th with a time of 46.85. The boys 4x800 team of Peter Papapolymerou, Adam French, Zach Buvalic and Ben Witkowski took 3rd with a time of 8:57. Finally for the guys the 4x100 SHuttle hurdle relay tea, of Jeremiah Taylor, Torrell WIlliams, Grant Landry,and Kevin Jiminez took 4th with a time of 1:15.53.On the Ladies Side Olivia Bowden continued her strong performances with a 2nd place finish in the 1600M with a time of 5:53 and placed 5th in the 3200M with a time of 12:40. The girls 4x100 team of Jordyn Hill, Jordyn Russell, Sam Maniaci and Adina Alterman took 6th place with a time of 56.97. Finally the ladies 4x400 team of Adina Alterman, Kayla Austin, Jordyn Hill and Olivia Bowden took 4th with a time of 4:37.26. The team is back at it Monday and Tuesday with meets against Avondale, Notre Dame Prep and Lutheran North.
