Kimberly Dowdell ’01 to Address the Class of 2025 at Baccalaureate May 18
On Sunday, May 18 at 3:00 p.m., Cranbrook Schools will welcome Kimberly Dowdell ’01 as the keynote speaker for the 92nd Annual Baccalaureate Service, held in honor of the graduating Class of 2025.
A distinguished alumna, architect, and civic leader, Kimberly is a principal at global design firm HOK and served as the 100th President of the American Institute of Architects in 2024. Her career is rooted in the belief that good design can uplift lives and strengthen communities—an inspiring message for our newest graduates as they prepare to step into the world beyond Cranbrook.
The Baccalaureate Service is a time-honored tradition that brings the senior class together to reflect on their Cranbrook journey and give thanks for the many people who have shaped it. Through music, readings, prayers, and a keynote address, the service offers an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the values of this enduring community.
Flags representing the diversity of our students and the ceremonial Mace—emblematic of Cranbrook’s academic, spiritual, and cultural traditions—will be featured prominently.
The service will be livestreamed so families and alumni around the world can share in this meaningful celebration.
