Robotics Teams Off to a Great Start

Robotics competition has only just started for this season, but the Brookside and Middle School teams are off to a great start!
Six of our VEX IQ robotics middle school teams competed in a tournament in Charlotte on Saturday, November 3rd.  There were twenty-five local teams participating and all of our Cranbrook teams advanced to the final round of sixteen. Team 37C (Nadir and Michael) won both the Tournament Champion Award as well as 1st place in Robot Skills!

Two Robotics teams from Brookside traveled to Haslett, MI for the Haslett Elementary Robotics Tournament on Saturday, October 27th: The Destroyers 2.0 (Max Sundblad, Andrew Friedman, and Vaughn Mishko) and The Flaming X Warriors (Thomas DeSantos, Bobby Jones, Bade Hurst, Anniston Worthy, Jack Levasseur, and Andrew Fritz).

Both teams came home with exceptional honors, winning both first and second place in the Skills Competition. This competition allowed both teams to show off their skills at autonomous programming and driving. In addition to first and second place honors, The Destroyers 2.0 were awarded the Teamwork Champion award and will be able to compete in the State Championship.

Many congratulations to the teams and their coaches on these great accomplishments!
