This fall and winter, Senior Kindergarten students collaborated with Cranbrook House and Gardens for the upcoming Cranbrook Winter Houseplant Sale. Sue LeBeau, volunteer member of the Cranbrook House and Gardens Auxiliary, guided the children as each propagated and tended their own plant.
During these visits, students learned about plant parts, lifecycle, soil, and organic fertilizers. The greenhouse bustled with children planting, watering, and exploring the beautiful area. In February, Junior Kindergarteners will do a similar project.
All plants will be available to purchase at the plant sale, and Senior Kindergarten students are very proud to be supporting their school community.
