Cranbrook Schools’ International Festival Highlights Global Community, Cranbrook Connections.
Nearly a thousand members of the Cranbrook community gathered on Saturday to celebrate Cranbrook Schools’ International Festival.
The festival was a first-of-its-kind celebration of the cultures that make up the school’s amazing community. Festival attendees were able to journey through four world regions, each brought to life in a different area of Cranbrook’s spectacular campus.
The day began with a welcome ceremony and international parade near Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Academy of Art. After, guests had the opportunity to explore regional “parks” throughout the campus. In each park, guests were able to meet and learn from Cranbrook Schools families who had volunteered to represent their own personal aspect of the truly international identity of Cranbrook Schools through performances, art, music, and activities.
The event was made possible by parent volunteers and was the creation of the parent leadership of Cranbrook’s Family Inclusion Network (FIN).
